Die Forschungsflotte ist ein Teil der Flottenstruktur der Union Terra. Die DREAMCATCHER gehört zu ihren Forschungsschiffen.
Abteilung Exploration
Admiral Yukitaka Hamano ist in Kapitel 3 für die Abteilung Exploration der Forschungsflotte verantwortlich. Er gehört zum eng begrenzten Empfängerkreis der Berichte über die Suchoperation nach der DREAMCATCHER.
